Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are illnesses you can get from having unprotected sex (sex without a condom). In England, about 640,000 cases of STIs are found every year. One of them is chlamydia, and it’s tricky because 70% of infected women and 50% of infected men don’t even feel or show any signs that they have it.
Even though there are treatments for chlamydia and genital herpes, it’s super important to use a condom every time you have sex. This helps prevent STIs and unplanned pregnancies.
